Isleworth is one of the most exclusive golf courses in the nation and Isleworth has guards, gated entrances and electronic security features that I may get in trouble for even mentioning. Keenes Pointe is the home of the Golden Bear Club. A vital part of the Windermere golf scene, this course has a wide variety of membership types. Residents of Keenes Pointe can purchase a discounted membership with limited access to the course itself. Living in Windermere FL and loving to play golf can leave you wanting to expand your horizons. By that I mean honing your skills on other courses which are near the city. Since the Windermere Club closed years ago options within the 34786 zip code have dwindled. Luckily there are three very local courses you can reach out to and potentially play.
Arnold Palmers Bay Hill is a private club. It is a gorgeous one as well and right next to Windermere FL. Not quite Windermere golf but you can see Bay Hill from parts of Isleworth. This course is located in Winter Garden Florida just a short drive from Windermere. Just take Lake Butler Drive to its western end, cross the Winter Garden Vineland Road onto West Orange Country Club Drive and you are within a mile or so of an afternoon of golf. And for considerably less money than your Isleworth membership would cost. I believe an Isleworth membership would pay for my golf at the West Orange Country Club way past my natural death.
