Lake Davis Reserve is a gated and lakefront community on the western shoreline of Lake William Davis in Windermere FL. This is a very secluded community and has some incredible homes located in it. Although Lake William Davis is not a member of the Butler Chain of Lakes it is still a beautiful lake and shares its’ shoreline with Kelso on Lake Butler and Tilden’s Grove.
Gated communities are still popular even in a relatively low crime area such as this one. I have never noticed a lot of traffic on Marleon Drive and I bet there are plenty of people living in Windermere who do not even know this community exists. It is overshadowed by Oxford Moor and Sawyer Sound which are the communities most people notice when driving by.
If privacy and a quiet community are what you are after then this neighborhood is a great option. Especially if you get a lakefront home where sunrise starts every day over the water. All you have to limit yourself to is a home with less than 7,000 square feet of living area.
Just West of this community is Windermere Village. This is where commuters will turn northward to the local turnpike. Turning southward will actually take you to Walt Disney World. The Drive to Disney property is still around 20 minutes no matter which way you choose to drive to it.
