Midsummer Dr is located in Windermere FL just not in the town of Windermere FL. Midsummer Drive runs along the eastern shoreline of Lake Down. It is connected to Hempel Ave by Maywood Drive which also has lakefront homes on Lake Down.

Midsummer Drive had it's groundbreaking, as far as its first home was built back in the mid 1970's. Windermere certainly was not as well known as it is today. When I first saw that it took that long to develop this street I was somewhat surprised. Imagine my shock when I saw the first home had sold for $66,000.

There are only three dozen lots in this community. The subdivision is Lake Down Shores and believe it or not they have a community boat ramp. Of course like Windermere Downs the ramp is gated to prevent use by others. This is not hateful it is actually standard procedure in this area. The boat ramp in Windermere Town at Fernwood Park is usually kept locked as well.

The Residences

The homes here are not the newest but there are several that are exceptional. Age does not always matter when you are dealing with luxurious homes. Technology can be added and homes updated. The smallest home on this street is still approximately 2000 square feet and there is one approaching 6,500 square feet. That house is one of the oldest on the street.
