You are now in a fairly small select group. Most residents of this city are not aware this community is even here. A few who venture out of Lake Butler Sound’s northern exit may have noticed but the Sandy Shores sign is only visible as you approach from the west and those exiting LBS are travelling east past the sign.

What you will find in Sandy Shores is about a dozen homes and a couple of lots all of which are either lakefront or setting on the canal which provides lake access. The homes vary quite a bit in size and design as this community has been built over the years while tastes have evolved. The first home here was built in 1934 and the most recent was completed in 2021.  That alone kind of peaks a person’s curiosity.

Sandy Shores is truly a rare gem and even the road from Winter Garden Vineland Road which leads to Waterstone and Sandy Shores is named Sandy Shores Dr. Just keep to the left after passing the gated entrance to Waterstone (from the west) and you will come to this community.
