What Is A Reasonable Management Fee?

8% is a reasonable management fee. You can get the number lower in some cases. For example if you own more than one home and have the same company manage more than one home for you. You can get property management for less money but beware of what you may not be getting.

  1. The tenant knows they can get by with more if you are a owner/ manager of your own rental. Trust me they do and they will. They believe and are right that larger companies know what they are doing and can win confrontations with them.
  2. Most of the time we want to believe what is best about people. However, there are abusers of this habit out there. There are people that in no way can survive a background check and they know it. They wont even waste their time and money applying. Where do they look for a house for rent? Yup, For Rent By Owner.
